John Kurpiel has been the minister of the Lawrence Church of Christ since 1979. He preached in many of the area congregations and he is involved in many evangelistic campaigns. Fervently working along side John Kurpiel is his faithful wife, Gladys Kurpiel. They have 5 children and several grandchildren.

John was one of the founding leaders of the Annual New England Lectureship. Along with his wife, John traveled multiple times to the Dominican Republic where he was given the opportunity to preach. In 2011, John traveled to Haiti after the devastating earthquake that shattered the country. During his stay, he was able to lend a helping hand to the people of Haiti and given the opportunity to preach at the local churches of Christ.

John has been involved in the Spanish ministry at the Lawrence Church of Christ for over 15 years. He is presently working with the Brazilian community along with some of the new converts. John and Gladys remain busy with in-home Bible studies and serving their brethren.
